Grinnell on Film
When I came back from my gap year studying analog photography, I knew that it was a part of my life I wanted to bring with me going forward. In my first year Grinnell College, I realized that there were no preexisting facilities for me to do so. Unwilling to let this stop me, I purchased my own kit to develop black and white 35mm film.
This gallery is part of an on-going project I’m working on to document student life at Grinnell. These are images shot, developed, edited, and scanned by me, by hand, on Grinnell’s campus.
I feel lucky to have the beautiful, vibrant community of Grinnell as a subject. From drag shows to walking across Mac Field on early fall mornings, I hope to illustrate the small moments that make Grinnell, Grinnell.
